Old Toy Soldier Magazine now under new Management
Following the untimely passing of Ray Haradin in June 2025 the Old Toy Soldier world faced an uncertain future. Ray had been the driving force behind both the Old Toy Soldier Journal and the associated Old Toy Soldier Auction business.
Nancy Haradin, who inherited the Old Toy Soldier business, decided that it should be wound down, with the auction side being passed over to Morphy’s and a final issue of the Journal under her auspices to be published in August 2025, (Vol49 #2).
This news resulted in a campaign for a continuation of this much valued magazine in some form. While Nancy was keen to support this objective, it has proved to be a long and complex task to unravel the complex financial and legal issues involved in continuing to produce and publish the Old Toy Soldier Journal.
These matters have now been resolved, and we are pleased to report that this website and the associated magazine will be continuing under new management.
Rob Wilson, who has edited the Journal since 2020, will continue in that role, while Harry Kemp (a contributing author) will manage the business activities.
Contributors are encourage to submit ideas for future articles and other content.
