Norman Joplin enjoyed Bill Anderson’s piece on the West India Regiment in the last issue. Bill presented an image of the first version of Set 21 containing that regiment taken from an early Britains catalogue. Norman has gone one better by supplying an image of an exceptionally rare 1st version of the set, in pristine condition.
Will Beierwaltes article in the previous issue also prompted a flurry of messages about Feix and their connection with Heyde. We have collected these together in a separate article.
Norman Joplin also wrote in to mention that, although Will mentions in the main body of the text the
company of Loebel Widman as an early American maker, no reference was made in the bibliography
to the article which Norman wrote in Volume 43 # 3 of OTS magazine, pages 20-22.
